About the event
Join artist Lisa Leskien as she leads you through the Linocut printmaking process.
No printmaking experience necessary. Suitable for ages 10+. You will be guided through the steps from creating and transfering an image onto the blocks, techniques for carving, techniques for printmaking in various colours like reductions and puzzle techniques, inking the block, registering the prints, hand-printing, and signing and numbering the prints.
The $139 price includes all materials and step-by-step instructions to carve 2 blocks, and make a limited edition print run of 10 on paper, 6 cards (with envalopes), a notebook, an apron and a canvas tote/pouch.
We will be using water-based printing ink (that can stain clothing). It may get messy. Please wear clothes that you are OK getting ink on. We are solvent-free (no smelly cleaners here!).
